of testing samples of each batch produced with an
independent laboratory for
E. coli O157:H7 and Salmonella prior to shipping in order to
guarantee pathogen-free delivery.
Production policies and
processes remain unchanged. Existing foods available
on the marketplace are equally as safe as the foods with the
new Pathogen-Free Safety Guarantee. This additional
step is to cement its long standing assurances of safety
with the factual results and comfort provided by
professional third party analysis.

Each product is made in
Lake Mills, Wisconsin USA and is manufactured in a
temperature controlled production room at its own USDA
certified organic and FDA registered
manufacturing factory built to LEED green
specifications. From the point of receiving
ingredients to the time of delivering final product and each
step in between, PAW NATURAW production and handling
associates operate under and strictly adhere to a Pathogen Reduction/Hazard
Analysis and Critical Control Point (PR/HACCP)
system collaboratively designed with the USDA regional
inspector to effectively control potential contamination.

BATCH TESTING FOR PATHOGENS: As one of the last
checks and balances firmly set in place within our safety
system, Paw Naturaw sends out samples of each batch of food
to be tested by an independent laboratory for E. coli
O157:H7 and Salmonella. Pathogen tests displaying
"Negative" mean the product is free of harmful pathogen

CONTINUING SAFETY IN FEEDING AT HOME:

takes many precautionary measures to ensure the safety and
integrity of its foods. Once you receive your foods,
we strongly recommend you adhere to our safe handling
guidelines. Be aware of your handling processes.
If mishandled, raw food may grow bacteria that could cause
illness to you, members of your family, or the animals you
are feeding. For your protection, follow these
instructions for safest use: 1. Keep diets frozen
until ready to use. 2. Thaw product in the
refrigerator or thaw express in cold water. 3. Keep
the diets separate from other foods. Wash working
surfaces, utensils (including cutting boards, preparation
areas and feeding bowls/ dishes), hands, and any other items
that touch or contact the product with hot soapy water.
4. Refrigerate leftover product immediately or discard.
PATHOGEN
FREE REPORTS:
As of March 15, 2010, PAW
NATURAW decided to refrain from further printing
pathogen-free analysis identification on each product label.
Listing pathogen reports on its foods unnecessarily raises
fears about feeding raw foods. PAW NATURAW maintains the highest degree of safety
while
producing its foods.
